Topic: Ecotoxicity of Microplastics in Aquatic Environment
Description: The prevalence of microplastic pollution in the aquatic environment is a universal issue that posed threats to human health and aquatic biodiversity. Several studies have been documented on the widespread microplastic contamination in aquatic system. Likewise, studies have shown that microplastics and nanoplastics have direct ecotoxicolgical effects through adsorption of co-contaminants. In this talk, related studies on the ecotoxicological data of microplastics to aquatic environment will be discussed. Also, recent techniques on the determination of microplastic concentration and its degradation products will also be discussed.
